Terms & Definitions
Adaptogen
Plants or mushrooms that naturally help the body better manage stress and regain its balance.
Functional or medicinal mushrooms
A class of mushrooms used for centuries in traditional medicines and now studied for their positive effects on the body. They are consumed to support health in a natural and sustainable way.
Dual Ultrasonic Assisted Extract
Our extraction takes place in two complementary stages : an aqueous phase and a hydro-alcoholic phase.
This allows us to extract all the active compounds of the mushroom, whether they are water-soluble (such as beta-glucans and polysaccharides) or fat-soluble (such as triterpenes and sterols). We use ultrasound technology , which fragments the cell walls of the mushroom.
This method ensures complete extraction, while optimizing the bioavailability and assimilation of active ingredients by the body.
Elixir Maison Fungi
Concentrated liquid extract obtained from mushrooms, using water extraction, then alcohol, then vegetable glycerin. We use ultrasound technology to release a maximum of active compounds.
Once the extraction is complete, the alcohol is evaporated while preserving the quality of the active ingredients. Our technique allows us to offer elixirs without preservatives .
Polysaccharide
A complex form of natural sugar found in plants and fungi. Some support immunity, while others provide fiber or energy. Beta-glucans are a highly active type.
Beta-glucans
Complex sugars naturally present in the cell walls of mushrooms. They interact with the immune system to stimulate or regulate it as needed, without exciting or overactivating it.
Fruiting body
Visible part of the mushroom (the one that is picked). This is where the majority of bioactive compounds are concentrated.
Chaga
A mushroom that grows on birch trees in cold regions. Used for centuries, it is rich in antioxidants and supports immunity, cellular vitality, and protection against oxidative stress.
Lion's mane
A white pompom-like mushroom used to support memory, concentration, and neuronal health. It is particularly known for stimulating nerve and cognitive regeneration.
Reishi
A mushroom traditionally used to soothe the nervous system, support immunity, and promote quality sleep. It is often associated with improved resilience to stress.
Mycelium
The underground or internal part of the mushroom, invisible to the naked eye. It acts as a root network, absorbing nutrients and interacting with the environment. It is the base of the mushroom, but it contains fewer active compounds than the fruiting body.
Mycology
Science that studies fungi, their role in nature, their uses in health, nutrition, ecology and agriculture.
